How can I find a good restaurant in Horley? iTaste has become THE tool to use when you're choosing a restaurant, you want to see its menu, etc. It is, however, surprising to get the same search result than your neighbour. We are, after all, unique individuals, aren't we? iTaste is made of your friends reviews. It's a personalized restaurant guide made by your friends. The Yellow Pages give me hundreds of restaurants in Horley, however if I only take into accound the restaurants my friends went to and reviewed, I get a new selection that's perfect for me.

Great seasonal menus: 3/4 courses (55/65£), 8 course menu legumes and menu gastronomique (65/75£), 3 course lunch menu with half a bottle of wine (35£) and even a menu gastronomique for children! Very friendly service....
Comment (Roussillon):A hidden gem in a quiet neighboorhood! Best value for money Michelin-starred restaurant in London. Great English produce with a French twist (the veal is the best i've had!). Fantastic wine list with great selection of wines from Languedoc and Roussillon. Lunch menu is an absolute steal....
To be improved (Roussillon):Can be difficult to find...hidden behing Pimlico road...

Comment (Gordon Ramsay Plane Food):Gordon Ramsay Plane Food est le restaurant de Gordon Ramsay qui se trouve dans l'immense halle (superbe d'ailleurs) du terminal 5 de l'aéroport de Heathrow (précision : il est situé "post-security", on ne peut y accéder qu'après avoir passé les contrôles de sécurité, il faut donc avoir un avion à prendre à Heathrow ce jour-là - c'est le restaurant parfait pour ceux qui partent de cet aéroport ou y sont en transit, ce qui était notre cas). Le restaurant est très agréable, décoration hyper-moderne, très clair. Ce qu'il y a dans l'assiette est vraiment délicieux, pour un prix modique (et l'aéroport de Genève ferait bien d'en prendre de la graine - un seul restaurant - à part le bar à caviar à des prix démesurés - self-service et assez cher, c'est lamentable). Nous y avons mangé : - 2 fois le beef burger, très bon, viande très goûteuse, belles grosses frites, portion généreuse - la Caesar's salad grande portion, jolies petites laitues très fraîches, anchois marinés (et non salés), parmesan, croûtons, et sauce fluide mais crémeuse, exquise - Le plat du jour : une salade de betteraves au chèvre avec des noix et un peu de verdure, aussi très fraîche et très bien assaisonnée Avec cela, 2 cocas, 1 verre de Sauvignon blanc chilien Casa Azul, un verre de Cabernet Sauvignon chilien Los Vascos, et en "dessert" un verre de Late Bottle Vintage Port Taylor. Pour une fois qu'on mange bien dans un aéroport, c'est à relever ! il est à noter que le restaurant, sur demande, fait un "picnic basket" très appétissant (entrée, plat dessert) pour 12£....
To be improved (Gordon Ramsay Plane Food):Le service est très pro mais peu chaleureux. Il y a une "cover charge" de 1£50 par personne, ce qui est surprenant et pas du tout dans les moeurs anglaises...

Comment (Lola Rojo):For once a "not too oily" Spanish restaurant! The tapas are very elegantly presented, the tapas are cean, fresh and tasty. Some very nice creations like the duck egg with potato and chorizo. The traditional "papas bravas" are presented in a contemporary way and are quite delicious. The decoration is nicely modern in red and black....
To be improved (Lola Rojo):The wine list (Spanish wines) is quite short especially when nearly half the bottles are actually no longer available: "the other table finished that wine" says the waitress... The staff is a bit pushy, making us order more tapas that we can eat. The atmosphere is not that cosy in the evening, it might be nicer with dimmer lights maybe......

Expert advice on hand from the sommelier and the fixed price menus keep costs reasonable. Good deals to be had on Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes. Le pub a son propre jardin et fait partie des pub Harvey's. Cuisine de pub: excellentes saucisses de porc locales, mash et diverses viandes. Assiettes copieuses. Une bonne adresse si vous passez du temps dans la région. Service poli et amicale. Mieux vaut réserver le vendredi et le samedi soir...
