iTaste is the best restaurant guide for Tunbridge Wells

Excellent small Indian restaurant! everything here is fresh, juicy and homemade. In case you got lost beyond M25 ... ca. 60km, East from London, in Kent, 5 minutes drive from Rochester ( 40 min train from Victoria Station), it's definitely worth to stop here ! maybe you just visited Leeds Castle .. the lovely little castel in Kent with the black swans ? ... then it's on your way back to London. Everything is home made here: from food to kindness. You are genuinely treated as a Special Guest no matter who you are and how often you were here. Very professional cooking, original and varied choice of meals that goes beyond the usual indian foods & tastes - they are also available, by the way. Every meal is juicy !!! from the starters - I warmly recommend the garlic mushrooms that come with home made chutneys- to the dry dishes. All the vegetarian part is a treat ! not to mention the home made pickles that accompany your fresh papadams order and ... the hot Garlic Naans. My favourites are the chicken and lamb meals - lot's of special herbs mix and new taste to discover. Furniture is slight kitsh-indian with english touch....

no parking possibility DRINKS it's an indian restaurant therefore limited sorts of drinks: 2 sort of beers King Fisher & Cobra - according to my husband you have to eat Indian food with these beers. for those like me who aren't keen on beers, you are left with the usual choice between a glass (be aware of UK size, 1 Glass = 2,5 dl ) Pinot Grigio (good) , Tee ( only englis black tea...since "nobody here drinks tea with evening meal" ) or water....

This is a wonderful bistrot set on a beautiful Loch in Scotland on the western coast between Fort William and Oban. Their seafood is outstanding and fresh and the service is quick and friendly. There is a beautiful view on the Loch if you are lucky enough to have a table at the window and there is also a shop in the same building of the restaurant. We had dinner here on our return trip from Fort William to Oban and the fish was really fantastic. We've chosen the Hot Roasted Shellfish Platter for 2 (85 £) and it was really delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone....

Typique restaurant chic anglais de province ! le public délicieusement british est assorti au décor. Le premier arrêt se fait au bar, magnifique, avec bière ou vin, et c'est là , au bar, que l'on choisit tranquillemnet son menu. Excellente viande, même chose pour les poissons ( la sole que nous avons goûtée était magnifique). Le T-Bone d'excellente qualité dépasse l'assiette, pourtant grande, à gauche et à droite. La sole est géante. Le tout est délicieux, très fin - sauf les légumes. Le tout agréablement présenté, alléchant. L'accueil est superbe, l'ambiance chaleureuse, les serveurs extrêment attentifs. Bonne carte de vin, mais à des prix exagéré, dès 28£ la bouteille. Un arrêt sympatique après la visite de la cathédrale de Canterburry, par exemple, ou d'une autre curiosité dans le magnifique Comté du Kent, à env. 70 km de Londres....

un vrai pub authentique de l'East Sussex dans une région verdoyante. très ancien ses origines remontent au 14ème siècle. Le pub a son propre jardin et fait partie des pub Harvey's. Cuisine de pub: excellentes saucisses de porc locales, mash et diverses viandes. Assiettes copieuses. Une bonne adresse si vous passez du temps dans la région. Service poli et amicale. Mieux vaut réserver le vendredi et le samedi soir...
