Comment (Restaurant Casa Sapucaia):What a find! Itacaré is as yet an unspilt region of dense tropical forest as well as a town and a number of beaches. It was selected by someone with great resources as the spot to build the most expensive hotel project in all of brazil (unfortunately this project, called Warapuru, never saw the light of day). It is a perfect place for learning how to surf and for beach holidays. Numerous people from all over the world have settled here to get away from the noise they find elsewhere. Mathieu Houreade is one of these people. A Frenchman who understands the rhythm of life, he has built this restaurant with love and charm. It serves Bahian food with a penchant to organic produce and a balanced nutrition. The place is enchanting with a patio in the rear when it is good weather (most of the time). Prices are not cheap but the food is excellent and some say it is the best place to eat in town. The red wine is also very good. If you like your food spicy ask for hot pepper as the Bahians also like their food spicy....
