Comment (La Petite Sirène):If you happen to be a bit slow getting started on a Sunday and miss the famous Geneva cut-off of 14:00 (which seems to be applied with "uber" precision and which even becomes 13:45 in some instances), then you can always come here as a last resort as I saw them taking guests even after 15:00 (bless their souls). I actually prefer the other restaurant (there are two of them) here in the port (which you can easily reach by motor boat in the summer) but this one, while a bit tasteless in its decor, makes up for it with very reasonably priced food, a nice menu, and service that makes an effort even if it can be a bit erratic at times. Do not come here for the charm of the restaurant, but the location is great, always has parking and has plenty of space for kids to play around in after or before lunch. It is about 4km after Hermance and 5 more minutes by car....
Comment (La Petite Sirène):There are three key ingredients for why I love this restaurant. One is that you get to see the sun set as you can in few other restaurants on the lake; the second is that you feel like you are on Lago Maggiore and not Lake Geneva; third they have some of the best filet of perches you can find (as they also do at the Restaurant du Port next door). Generally easy to get a table even when the restaurant du Port is full and, in summer, the terrace extends over a huge area. They have bought some nice outdoor furniture this year and the setting is magical especially in June and July and especially on a nice night. The foie gras is worth mentioning as are the filets de perches. French fries are OK but not as good as at La Belotte. Nice local wines including a very good Chignin Bergeron. Bring something warm at night as the winds can pick up quickly. Lots of parking and just 5 minutes from Hermance....

Un Chignin Bergeron de chez Quesnard pour déguster avec. Rien de transcendant. Je reviendrai tester le reste de la carte quand même pour me faire une idée. Le cadre est sympa....
Comment (La Petite Sirène):Sympathique terrasse avec jolie vue, mais hélas cela manque de "glamour". Service débordé et tables serrées alors qu'il y a de la place sur la terrasse immense ! Cuisine pas bonne, cela la sent la cantine de bord du lac. Jolie sélection de vins mais hélas un pic saint loup servi chaud....

Comment (de l'Hôtel de Ville (ex-Philippe Rochat)):Philippe Rochat evolue entre l'exceptionnel et l'extra terrestre. Lorsqu'il est en petite forme, c'est exceptionnel (cas de cette fois), sinon c'est extraterrestre. Le meiilleur cuisinier du monde probablement ou en tous cas dans le top 5. Le nouveau sommelier (francais ?) est d'une compétence qui dépasse tout ce que j'ai pu connaitre, y aller pour le rencontrer. Extraterrestre, de meme que les vins (suisses) qu'il nous a fait découvrir. Service toujours parfait. Pains du boulanger MOF sublimes. La faute d'orthographe sur les cartons des tables a été corrigée (enfin). Service toujours aussi aimable et personnalisé....

Impeccable poularde découpée au guéridon (mais comment font il pour vous découper une volaille sans se tacher tout en vous faisant la conversation??). Comment (La Cantine des Commerçants):C'est vraiment bien ce bistro. Peut être la meilleure andouillette que j'ai jamais mangé. Cassolette de pied de cochon en entrée; Excellent! Cette annexe du Buffet de la Gare des Eaux Vive est ouverte depuis 3 semaines; Il faut y aller. On peut prendre un repas seul au bar également....
Comment (La Cantine des Commerçants):j'aime bien le boulevard carl vogt qui est un véritable boulevard du XIXème siècle. Le restau est plutôt bien fait dans une atmosphère contemporaine avec un bon nombre de tables hautes avec des tabourets ou possibilité de manger au bar. Excellents plats un peu canaille....

La description, sommaire mais engageante nous apprend que c’est Serge Labrosse, étoilé Michelin et à la tête du Buffet de la Gare des Eaux-vives, qui a ouvert ce nouvel établissement.
