iTaste is the best restaurant guide for Vinci

Restaurant parlant anglais ( pas evident a Vinci ), choix et conseil sur les vins. Les spaguetti facon Sienne sont a gouter !...

Situe a cote du musee de Leonard, la ville de Vinci est a visiter. Ce restaurant par contre peut etre zappe...

Serviice rapide, malgré la grande l'affluence, sympathique et attentionné. Cuisine passe-partout acceptable sans pour autant marquer les mémoires indélébilement. Très touristique, comme tout ce que l'on peut trouver dans le village comme établissements, donc plutôt destiné à se nourrir qu'à faire un repas très agréable. Salades fraîches et variées....

Le steak d'espadon était mal cuit au point de preferer la salade d'accompagnement. Les antipastis n'etaient pas non plus impresionnant...

Que des touristes, impossible de sortir de ce cadre-là dans la localité, d'ailleurs!...

Un chouette resto napolitain en dehors du centre. Jolie déco, produits typiques du sud de l'italie. Les meilleures pizzas que nous avons mangé en Italie !...

Service un peu froid......

Une Osteria familiale typique de la campagne Toscane. Les tables sont espacées et les enfants sont, comme toujours en Italie, les bienvenus ! La nourriture est simple, mais excellente. Une partie sur la carte "permanente", le reste écrit sur un ardoise et qui change en fonction de l'humeur de la cuisinère. On appréciera le choix de vins toscans (la part belle aux Chianti) à prix très raisonnables). La terrasse offre une vue magniofique sur la campagne Toscane et en juillet août on peut assister à un superbe coucher de soleil....

On regrettera un peu la route voisine qui est un peu bruyante, mais le trafic est peut important....

Very nice place in front of the hills. Traditional Tuscan cooking reinvented by the young chef (the onion ice cream served with the meat was amazing!)....

sometimes quite too much creative: the experiments aren't always that effective (but they are in 90% of the cases)...

The place (1 Michelin Star) is really lovely and cozy set in a beautiful small village in the Chianti Region. It is owned by the Antinori Family and at the entrance of the Osteria there is also a wine shop where you can buy all the Antinori's excellent wines (Tignanello, Guado al Tasso, Cervaro della Sala,...). The food was very good (tuscan food with a modern twist) and the wines excellent. It is really a lovely and quiet place and I recommend it to all....

I went there with my cousin during last Christmas vacations, on a Wednesday night. This restaurant is specialized in meat, the typical "bistecca alla fiorentina". Customers have no options: there is a fixed menu only, for 30 euros. The menu encompasses a starter, a huge piece of meat and a dessert. I also took a glass of pretty decent Chianti (for 3.5 euro). As a starter we got three different types of "crostini": bread with cheese and honey, with salami, and with mince. Crostini were accompanied by some very tasty spelt mixed with sausages from Tuscany. Starter was good but not very abundant. However, quantity was right, as the meat which followed was just huge (I would say between 0.8 and 1.5 Kg, for 2 people). The meat was definitely the best part of the meal: tender and juicy. It came accompanied by 3 simple side dishes (potatoes, carrots and beans). Finally we had the dessert: "panettone" with a chunk of delicious, home-made chocolate nougat, and a couple of dried fruits. The atmosphere is stylish and very pleasant (the restaurant is located in an old building of the city center), with some gentle background music....
