very special location - great food - also good to visit with many people! This restaurant is also housed in the authentic 15th century cellars that initially were used by merchants as a storage place during the two major annual fairs of Antwerp. The medieval set-up of this restaurant is unique in Antwerp and is reproduced in a life-like way. In the restaurant of Breughellian days, you eat with a spoon and your hands. Obviously, you drink from a mug. Wine, beer and water are served out of jugs. The dishes will be prepared from a medieval recipe and the menu will take you back to the days of yore. The romantic candlelight goes with the soft renaissance dance music in the background, the same period from which the building dates. The costumes of the waiters and the decoration seem to have been taken directly from a painting of Breughel.
