Auch hier (so wie im Lily's) ist Full House angesagt. Wegen Baselworld. Jedoch herrscht hier mehr Stress und das Gefühl, dass man nicht immer die Übersicht hat. Das Essen war fein aber ohne grosse Überraschung. Schliesslich war es das selbe Menü, wie vor 2 Jahren. Schade. Grosszügige Portionen fand ich auf angenehm. Keinen Wein, nur Wasser.
Trotz Reservierung müssten wir über eine Halbe Stunde auf unseren Tisch warten. Und auf das Essen müssten wir auch relativ lange warten, obwohl das Menu im Voraus vereinbart wurde. Ich fand es teuer: kein Apéro, kein Wein (es wurde schon etwas Wein bestellt, am Tisch, aber nicht in Strömen), das Essen... CHF 85.
They claim that this is the ultimate Thai place... not too sure about it. Maybe it's because the place was packed (Basel World oblige) but I felt that they should not accept as many bookings, if they can't handle the service. The food was nice - don't really know what I had since it was a selection of several dishes (duck, shrimps, chicken, beef, rice, noodles). The owner himself, Jeffrey, has an interesting and intriguing story.
The service (slow, forgetful, rusty) and the crowd: not a great combination. Considering what I ate and the above: quite expensive...
