Bellegarde, more accurately, Bellegarde sur Valserine, is not the first place that comes to mind for gastronomy and, even though only two highway exits from Geneva has hardly a restaurant here on Facebook. Do not get excited, this will not be one of those I have discovered the hidden jewel near Geneva reviews. This place though is about as good as it gets I believe in this part of the world. The decor is kitsch and the lighting too strong, but for a OK meal by French standards you can come here if you have nowhere else to go. The service is "correct" but nothing more.

The decor requires sunglasses and the service makes you feel like you are on a conveyor belt but otherwise OK.
