Un décor parfait mais une cuisine nul; a commencer par le pain servi: tout simplement dégoutant une honte!!! a suivre une soupe à l'oignon gratiné? pas vu le gratin et froide, mon entrée: mousse aux crevettes et saumon servi froide dans une assiette très chaude????etc.........

If you can afford to drive one hour on the weekend, I do believe this is one of the best terraces you can eat on near Geneva. Combined with the fact that you can play golf and go for lovely walks both before and/or after, this is a proposition that is hard to beat. See my other reviews for comments on the food, which remains delicious and well presented, the service, which is very good (but could be even higher except that it is a more casual atmosphere being in Chamonix), and the location which is perfect.
Nothing except the service which could be a few small notches higher. Food is out of this world.
Another amazing meal in this restaurant, on a beautiful terrace, on a lovely day with lots of sunshine. Almost perfect. The food was excellent, although the fish we ordered was not quite as good as the chicken and both had been sitting tool long under a heater. Fantastic presentation, and the sourdough baguettes, unsalted butter, and desert were all to die for. I have decided this is my favourite restaurant in Chamonix. Consistently good food and decent everything else. Menu today was at 19 Euro which you just cannot beat.
Only minus were two not very interesting house reds and service which was good (very charming MD) but slightly young and inexperienced for this level of establishment. It is Chamonix so I suppose that one can forgive this point.
cuisine excellente déco très "chalet" sans être, pour autant, étouffante
menu à 28.00€ = rien à redire pour ce type de restaurant. par contre, se rattrapent sur les "à côtés" : apéritifs, eau et café... ce qui fait vite grimper la note. vin ayant un arrière-goût métallique, peut-être un simple fait du hasard...
