In this restaurant concept they tried to copy a typical French brasserie. Look and feel reasonably successful! M & R is obviously an absolute hot spot in Tel Aviv, centrally located, always moving and full of life. The tables are too close together and it's very noisy. Definitely not suitable for quiet gastronomic moments. The menu is nice with typical French brasserie dishes and many day sugestions. On the sugestion surprisingly in this concept a few Eastern dishes. I try the beef sashimi with a fresh salad and a soy sauce. The flavors were good, perfect Cuisson, a superlative start. We follow with a classic, a full grilled Sea bass with lemon. Nice fresh, but little surprise. The tarte tatin was an absolute disappointment. Our white wine, Italian Allegrini Soave was good, the choice of nice French wines limited. The idea of the Waiters in a uniform as a kitchen commis is nice but I would only go a little more stylish than the simple white classic. Price / quality is good, BUT it is very small comfort, however, a Tel Aviv Hotspot!
