A very popular and in restaurant in Lisbon. On any night here you can expect to see the capital's well-known and famous having dinner in this small, well lit, trendy restaurant. Personally, I find the interior lacks cosiness. It is fun, and cool, and slightly inventive from a deco perspective, but this does not give it huge warmth. You either come her to see and be seen or because you like the ambience and the food, but I would not say it is a traditional, quiet restaurant to come to for a discrete and tranquil evening. As far as service goes, it is not bad. The waiters bring you your food quite rapidly and seem to be on some stimulant that makes them move quicker than in most other restaurants. They missed a salad we ordered and made a few other mistakes but on the whole were pro if a little impersonal. For the food, I would give a mixed note. It is Portuguese and inventive, but not that well presented (certainly above average by Lisbon standards but not to the standard the decor and ambience lead you to expect). Tastes are also inventive but do not quite reach the level of WOW that you again would expect in such a restaurant. My cheesecake was really not to be recommended. Great menu though as Carlos mentions and excellent wine list. What is excellent si that at the end of the dinner the bill is very correct by European standards for what has been an agreeable meal in a brasserie style restaurant. It is a chic bistro in a way but the level of the food is more brasserie level in my opinion. Parking is not obvious outside.

I think the food could be better presented and the tastes could be a bit finer for the level the restaurant is aiming at (for the type of presentation and quality I am talking about visit Largo for instance).

Bizarrement, je n'avais jamais été dans ce restaurant pourtant sité à 100 mètres de mon ancienne maison de Lisbonne. Décor, moderne, chaud et moderne avec des tables espacées et garnies de superbes nappes blanches. Cuisine portugaise et très originale. Une entrée remarquable: des très grosses gambas de la côte d'Espinho com cabeleira(gambas com cabeleira), c'est à dire, compètement entourées des frites en paille tellement fine qu'on dirait des cheveux ("cabelos"). Tout simplement remarquable. Comme plat des "alheiras de caça", espèces de boudins faits avec du gibier (perdreaux et un peu de porc). Superbes. Desser traditionnel portugais à base d'oeufs. J'y ai, par ailleurs,eu peut-être la meilleure carte de vins portugais que je n'ai jamais vu (5 ou 6 millésimes de "Barca Velha", normalement introuvable). Nous avons choisis une bouteille de Cabeça de Burro blanc 2005 (Douro) et Duas Quintas rouge 2000 (Douro), tous les deux superbes. Service agréable
