Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester

Wonderful experience: totally worth the 3 Michelin stars for the lovely setting, the very friendly service, the beautiful crockery and napkins, the "ballet" and rhythm of the service, lovely bread and butter served with Fontainebleau (for those like me who don't know what this is: whipped cream and fromage blanc.... !!) . For the food, I would give 2 stars: The dishes are really beautiful and delicious, but not as refined as other Haute Cuisine restaurants I went to. The quince tart with earl grey sorbet was amazing (see attached picture), beautifully cooked venison with sauce Grand Veneur. Great infusion trolley with lots of potted herbs chopped and infused in front of us. We took one 3 course festive lunch menu at 60GBP with 2 glasses of wine and half a bottle of water, and one 3 course "a la carte" menu for 75GBP. Beautiful wine list, rather expensive (as would be expected for restaurant in a grand hotel like the Dorchester).

The dishes are rather traditional and somewhat heavy. The music is not quite appropriate and the air-con a bit too cold.

I am the restaurant owner and I want to answer to my clients
