Maria Rodriguez, her sister Barbara, and their respective husbands, have set up what many consider to be the best rural hotel in Ibiza and it is located in what many would argue is one of its most beautiful regions, the valley of Santa Agnes. There are only 14 rooms and they are always well booked in advance, but if you cannot get a room, come here at least for a meal and to stay by the pool for the day. You will not be disappointed and might leave with one of your most memorable souvenirs of Ibiza. We still consider it, after 10 years, as our defining experience whenever we are on the island.
The food can be a bit variable. You generally always eat something exceptional, but sometimes there is a little something off. On our last visit the Solomio (very tender steak) was out of this world, but a goat's cheese salad to start with did not taste quite right. Nevertheless, consider this some of the finest food you can eat on the island. There is a lovely list of local wines and the setting indoor or outdoor is magical. In the summer flies can be a bit of a bother, but otherwise this is a wonderful experience with caring staff and owners making you feel enchanted.
Nothing really although it would be great for the superb quality to always be consistent at every level.
