Forty-Five

My lady and I went to test out the Lunch proposition of the Forty-Five. Many of Tokyo's top hotels offer a good deal for Lunch time, and as it happens the Forty-Five at the Ritz-Carlton is a pretty good one. Situated at the 45th floor of the Midtown Tower, Tokyo's highest building, you get one of the best views of Tokyo including Tokyo Tower and the bay area, if you reserve early enough to get one of the window tables. We chose the 'Chef's table' lunch menu, which is essentially a starter buffet, a choice of main dish, and a dessert buffet - all for 4,500 Yen. That has to be one of the best deals in the city. Ok, my main dish - an Iberico roast pork - was a slight disappointment because it was slightly too hard, but the choice and quality of both buffets more than made up for it. Service was polite and friendly, except for the point mentioned in the 'To be improved' section. All in all an enjoyable, copious lunch with a great view thrown in.

We were served our main dish while we were still eating our starters. Even though we had a second serving of starters (this being a buffet), it's a no-no to just serve the main dish without asking, particularly at a restaurant of this class.

I am the restaurant owner and I want to answer to my clients
