Restaurant Terroir Chic bistro

A truly Swiss restaurant... with truly Swiss products. Don't go looking for international brands - even the drinks are truly Swiss (ie. a Swiss version of Campari...). The menu card is in Swiss German and German :-) We had Flädlisuppe which tasted likek the one my father use to make (his signature dish!) followed by the Muotathaler Rindsentrecôte. In my opinion, Central's Switzerland's answer to Simmenthal or Angus...a delicacy. Generous portions, meaning no room for dessert. And a bit of Ticino in our glass (Merlot Quattromani).... Good for a pre-theater dinner. Fast but not fast food ... We had the following, unpronounceable but very good Swiss dishes: Gschmorte Rindsschulterebrate ...

Maybe just the fact that the waiter was a bit too eager and we felt a bit under pressure to eat fast. He was friendly though. Other than that, nothing to report.... Even though there were quite a few nicer tables left we were assigned to a rather secluded, dark one. We felt a bit as if we had been punished and put into the corner... I have noticed this in other places: the waiters don't always consider the seating as part of the dinner experience...... le goût des plats. Ce n'est pas rien, mais c'est une des seule chose qui manque à l'établissement.... ...
