Chinese restaurants are not my favorites. I've been to quite a few and I've started to believe that they're all the same. And that everything you're wearing is good for the laundry because for the smell of fried food that finds its way into the clothes' fabric.. China City was a good surprise. We chose it because it was close to the hotel and because it was full with Asian-looking customers. A good omen... We had to wait for almost 20 minutes to get our dim-sum. I'm no expert but I did think that some were freshly made. All were freshly steamed and didn't just pop out of a bamboo basket that had been left simmering for the past hours. For those who like sweet-and-sour, the fried fish was delicious. Fresh, crispy vegetables with it. My choice was shredded, fried beef in a spicy sauce. Quite spicy...just the way I like it. I even had a go at that Chinese cabernet sauvignon. Don't know why but I felt brave...the wine was nice. As usual when not in Switzerland, Chinese is actually cheap. I've made peace with Chinese food...for a while at least.

Avoid the tables closer to the smoking section. The wall that separates the two areas is wooden - you can smell the smoke...
