The San Giorgio is directly on the shores of Lake Lugano which makes it one of the nices spots to hang out in the Summer. You can even reach the restaurant by boat.
The chateaubriand is the reason why we came here. You have to order it in advance - just like you would order game. When they reach your table with the plateau and the meat with all the sidedishes layed out...it's spectacular.
Easily skip the appetizers, as there is plenty and even more (well, except for the meat, that is).
Although the restaurant was very busy our table was attended all the time: all the way through dessert (crème caramel...) no one was ever left with an empty glass.
We were recommended a local Merlot that was surprisingly good with the kind of meal we had.
Not too sure about the style. It looks a bit run down and very touristy. But that's ok because the food and service are so nice.
When inside you don't see the lake...
