quelle bonne surprise de trouver ce petit restaurant après une belle sortie de peau de phoque. accueil sympathique et cuisine innovante et soignée. salle agréable et espacée
I had dinner here for new year, the fixed price menu was excellent. A thoughful menu which was executed well. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The choice of wine was sufficiently broad and the prices fair. The servings were ample, so if you plan to have more than 3 courses make sure you go there hungry!
Hard to fault at the price, particularly given there is not a vast choice in the area! My one critisim is that the plates would benifit from slightly more vegatables and slightly less protein.
I dined at this restaurant on their first day of opening. The restaurant is a redocrated bakery with wonderful wood features and tasteful photographs - quaint but not overly romantic. The service was personal and attentive. The area lacked a restaurant with sophisticated dishes and is a most welcome addition. The modern French cuisine dishes were delicate, innovative and scrumptious. I started with a salmon and crab terrine, followed by pork cheeks. Both were magnificent. The meat was incredibly tender and the sauce tasted home made (unlike the industrial sauces so many restaurants rely on). My dining colleauges regaled in a deconsturcted version of a tartiflette - a delicate potato souflee with cheese and sauce in separate dishes. The lamb is recommended and was accompanied by a very healthy bone filled with marrow, which we were able to share between 6. The foie gras was lovely. A very respectable cheese platter. Exceptional value for the quality.
For my taste and following the complexity of the starter and main dishes, I found the deserts too heavy and rich. However, some of the desert affectionados loved the heaviness of the deserts as well as their generous portions.
