Another great diner here. You must book. All tables are OK but try and get one near front or on terrace if nice weather. Excellent soups. Has a very delicious piece of steak. Good red wine. Friendly service. Great experience
Was my favourite gastro pub in London (at a time when there were very few) and probably my favourite restaurant in Notting hill especially for Sunday lunches when you can sit for 3 hours reading the papers. There are always excellent soups. Make sure you get there early though as the kitchen gets quite slow when the restaurant is full. There is a nice terrace when the weather is fine.
At lunch the customers are the local workers, police, and office employees. In the evenings you find the Nottinghill locals, and on the weekends it is a very see and be seen crowd. Parking is possible but difficult so come by tube or by bike or on foot.
Service can be a bit slow when the place is very busy...
