Très bonne cuisine avec des produits de qualité irréprochable. Brasserie où les plats sont présentés comme à la maison et sans chichi. Ambiance relax où l'on peut engager la conversation facilement avec ses voisins qu'ils soient français ou étranger.
Itaste gets it soooo wrong. With a rating of 19/20 and on a visit to Paris, I expected so much more. This is a simple bistro with French standards prepared very well and with quite a good price/quality ratio. But that's it. There's no great inventiveness to the cooking. And there is quite a lot rather annoying about the restaurant. If you want good bistro cooking, try somewhere like 'La Rotonde' where the quality was excellent and the environment incredibly pleasant.
To say that the tables are 'close together' is an understatement. This is an exercise in customer origami. To get at our table, the staff had to pull the table away from the wall, hold it in the air, and usher my companion through the gap. Clearly they have great practice at this, since it was an exercise we couldn't replicated to extricate ourselves at the end of the meal. Thus you are guaranteed an intimate evening with your neighbours - and their dishes as well as conversation will spill over onto your table. Not a relaxing experience.
